A look back at 2016 projects

We had a fantastic 2016 here at Royalty and thought we'd do a little recap of the year before we get started on 2017.

Royalty General Construction

The original owners of Royalty General Construction: Ron Crosby and Greg Flagler

Our biggest news was that we celebrated 30 years in 2016 and our original owners Ron Crosby and Greg Flagler retired. We've been fortunate to have some pretty great clients over the past three decades and we're looking forward working with them, along with new clients, over the years to come.

Greater Toronto Airport Authority

CEO's office at the Greater Toronto Airport Authority

Next up was a job we completed at the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) for the CEO's office. This job included a modern renovation of an existing office, which then moved into the CEO's suite.

Weston Bakery

Weston Bakeries

Later in the year, Royalty completed a gorgeous renovation of Weston Bakeries which included the creation of a research and development lab and office spaces. The artwork used in this renovation is modern, and at the same time provides a bit of history for the employees using the space.

PetSmart at the Beach Toronto

PetSmart at the Beach

We then shared a renovation we completed for PetSmart in the Beach area of Toronto. This store is the first of its kind in Canada with the flagship store being located in Oceanside, New York.

Oakville Shoppers Drugmart

Shopper's Drug Mart beautyBOUTIQUE, Oakville, Ontario

In December, we shared a bright new Shoppers Drug Mart beautyBOUTIQUE in Oakville, Ontario with phase II to come in a couple months.

Shoppers Drug Mart 1000 store

Shopper's Drug Mart's 1000 Store

We were able to show you our renovation of Shopper's Drug Mart's 1000th store. We've come a long way with Shoppers Drug Mart and we're grateful the company still looks to Royalty for many of its projects.

Toronto Pearson

The Flower at Toronto Pearson International Airport

We haven't blogged about this yet, but last year we worked on something totally different for us at Royalty. Located at Toronto Pearson International Airport, The Flower is a large flower-like structure that acts as an information hub showing flight times, updates and other airport information on its built-in screens. It was a fantastic opportunity to work on this intricate airport project. More on this project in a later post.

Below is a list of other projects we completed in 2016. We will be featuring those on the blog soon!

• Shopper's Drug Mart, Concessions Street in Hamilton, Ontario.
• Shopper's Drug Mart, York University, Toronto, Ontario
• Shopper's Drug Mart, MediSystem Pharmacy addition, London, Ontario
• WestJet Team Room, Toronto Pearson International Airport
• WestJet InFlight Centre, Toronto Pearson International Airport
• Suncor A&W restaurant
• Suncor Starbucks coffee counter roll-outs
• PetSmart Lakeshore, Mississauga, Ontario

That was 2016 in a nutshell! Here's to a prosperous 2017. Wishing you all the best this year.
