Toronto Pearson International Airport

This project was delivered on time and on budget due to Royalty’s familiarity with airport procedures, security, and operational impacts.

One of the key challenges involved approximately 50 concrete core locations of varying sizes that entered into Pearson’s baggage roadway.

Operational impacts and employee health and safety were of paramount concern and Royalty’s expertise in working in this environment was key to ensuring this process was completed smoothly while minimizing risk.

The project features a stunning entrance with a custom powder-coated perforated metal screen wall with fibre optic lights, integrated flight-information monitors, and a customer service podium.

Other features include a marble enclave low-wall with integrated banquette seating, cyber counters with multiple USB charging ports, a printer work counter, and a stunning bar serving espresso coffee, hot chocolate, and fresh-squeezed juices.

There is also a self-serve area with grab-and-go refrigeration units where customers are encouraged to pack items and exit the lounge to catch their flights.

A full-height mural by Canadian artist Shawn Evans features prominently as a stand-out feature in the main lounge space.

Terrazzo tile flooring, porcelain wall tiles, full-height stainless steel kitchen, custom millwork, and stylish washrooms are just some of the other design elements that really make this project stand out.
